MABUHAY CALUMPITENOS!

There was an event at Calumpit Bulacan they do this every year to honor Saint John the Baptist. They call this Libad Festival.

In Calumpit, Bulacan they celebrate Libad Festival in honor of Saint John the Baptist every June 23. And then, the event starts at 6 o’clock in the morning. Included in this event because it is said wetting is a grace of St. John the Baptist. After the mass, I have interviewed one of the residents she said “mas masaya ngayon kaysa noon, mas maraming sumama ngayon”. There are lots of people joined the event more or less than a hundred. Then, the Barangay’s has its own boat or they call it “Pagoda”. Their respective boats have beautiful decorations. The “Pagoda” will parade round Bagbag, Angat, and Pampanga. More than thirty Barangay is involved in this event. They do this every year to honor Saint John the Baptist.
